What your donation enables
Left Write Hook helps victim-survivors reclaim their voices and bodies through survivor-led writing and non-contact boxing.
Before joining, participants receive clear information about the program, discuss it with a treating professional and confirm they have support in place. Our pay-what-you-can approach helps ensure cost is not a barrier.
Your donation helps us:
deliver more programs for the hundreds of survivors waiting;
support 8–10 participants through each eight-week program; and
train lived-experience facilitators to lead programs in their communities.
It costs approximately $4,625 to support one participant through the full program journey, while $5,500 can support a survivor to progress from participant to trained facilitator.
The ripple effect
The impact continues beyond eight weeks. Participants can move into facilitator pathways and help create recovery opportunities for others.
Behind every program is around 22 weeks of careful planning, delivery and evaluation, supported by trained facilitators, trauma-informed boxing coaches, reflective practice and strong safety systems.
