University of Melbourne Randomised Control Trial

This research project will explore the impact of Left Write Hook on physical and psychological wellbeing, relative to boxing-only, as we already know that exercise can help mental and physical health.

This research will help us offer Left Write Hook to other survivors in the future. We also want to understand how Left Write Hook could be offered in new community settings, to empower survivors of childhood sexual abuse and gendered violence across Australia.

  • Partner with us

Left Write Hook relies on the generous support of our partners, donors and philanthropic supporters to continue delivering our flagship 8-week boxing and writing program for survivors. Contact our team to discuss partnership opportunities.

  • Buy the book

LEFT / WRITE // HOOK shows that sexual abuse survivors are everywhere, that trauma lives in the body, and that it needs to be expressed. The book shows the hope, courage, resilience and strength of survivors who live with the daily effects of their trauma.

  • Donate

We are a registered charity dedicated to helping victim-survivors of child sexual abuse and complex trauma safely connect to, express, release and heal from their trauma. Your tax-deductible donation will go directly towards supporting our work.
