Steps towards healing: A community event for survivors and allies

We’re very excited to present our very first community event in Melbourne happening next Month!

This will be a free, inclusive and accessible community walk at Royal Park. Open to victim-survivors, allies and supporters of all genders, bodies and abilities.

Whether you’ve taken part in a Left Write Hook program, supported from afar, or are simply curious to learn more, you’re invited to join us for a gentle walk alongside our team, trainers and board members as we celebrate community, courage and connection.

When: Sunday, 14 December 2025 between 10.30am and 1pm

Where: Royal Park, Poplar Rd, Parkville VIC 3052, Australia

Schedule

  • 10.30 am: Arrive and check in

  • 11.00 am: Start walk. We will be following a paved, accessible 5 km route. The walk will take 1-1.5 hours depending on your pace. We may split into multiple groups with staggered start times depending on numbers.

  • 12.30 pm: Arrive back at meeting point for conversation and connection

  • 1.00 pm: Event ends.

Accessibility
Low-impact route with accessible toilets, flat paths and benches nearby. Suitable for those using wheelchairs or other mobility aids.

There will be opportunities to donate or purchase limited edition merchandise on the day. All proceeds from donation or purchases go directly towards supporting our work.
