Two founders, one fight?

What happens when two founders working on different parts of the same problem come together?

The systems meant to support and protect survivors can be difficult to navigate. Many never disclose their experiences, and those who do often face disbelief, isolation, stigma, or re-traumatisation.

On Tuesday, 21 July, our founder and CEO, Dr. Donna Lyon, will join Sarah Rosenberg, co-founder of With You We Can, for a powerful conversation about the realities survivors of sexual abuse face in recovery and the courtroom.

At Left Write Hook, Donna helps survivors rebuild from the inside out through boxing, writing, and peer support. At With You We Can, Sarah works to dismantle the legal fog that keeps survivors fearful and perpetrators comfortable. While their work tackles these issues from different perspectives, both organisations share a common goal: creating a world where survivors are believed, supported, and empowered.

Hosted by Tania Austin, Executive Chair and Owner of DECJUBA, and in partnership with Igniting Change, this event will explore where recovery and justice intersect. They will discuss the ongoing challenges survivors face and what meaningful change looks like in a society that often fails them.
