Donna Lyon named Snow Entrepreneur for Social Change
We’re proud to share some exciting news with our Left Write Hook community. Dr Donna Lyon has been selected as one of eleven founders in the latest Snow Entrepreneurs Fellowship for Social Change, run by The Snow Foundation.
This is a major achievement, as this year The Snow Entrepreneurs program received 171 applications for just 11 places, making Donna’s selection highly competitive and well-earned!
What is The Snow Foundation?
The Snow Foundation is an Australian philanthropic organisation that supports people working on some of the country’s toughest social challenges. Rather than funding ideas alone, the Foundation backs people; founders with lived experience who are building practical, scalable solutions that can create real change.
About the Snow Entrepreneurs Fellowship
The Snow Entrepreneurs Fellowship is a three-year program designed to support leaders tackling critical including women’s safety, First Nations maternal health, digital safety, disability inclusion, youth mental health and healthy masculinity.
Through the Snow Entrepreneurs program the selected founders receive:
Significant funding
Mentoring and expert advice
Capacity-building support
Access to a strong peer learning community.
This year’s cohort brings an inclusive and diverse group of leaders, including First Nations, LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, and culturally and linguistically diverse founders. Each has their own lived experience and deep insight into the challenges they are working to change.
