New gloves and wraps. Fewer barriers to stepping into the ring! πŸ₯Š

We’re very excited to announce a new partnership with Melbourne-based boxing equipment business Jim Bradley, who have generously supplied Left Write Hook with custom boxing gloves and quick wraps for our upcoming programs.

Thanks to their support, we can provide equipment for 40 survivors taking part in Left Write Hook programs! This helps reduce the cost of participation for people who may not otherwise be able to purchase their own boxing gloves and wraps, removing barriers for survivors.

Jim Bradley has been part of Australia’s boxing community for more than 45 years, designing and manufacturing much of its equipment right here in Melbourne. We’re incredibly grateful to James and the team for getting behind survivor-led recovery and working with us to create our very own Left Write Hook gear.

A huge thank you also goes to our Volunteer Coordinator, Elisa, whose work and relationship-building helped bring this partnership together.

Left Write Hook Founder and CEO Dr Donna Lyon said:

β€œBoxing equipment can be a real additional cost when someone is joining a program, so having Jim Bradley come on board means we can put gloves and wraps directly into the hands of survivors who need them. It’s especially meaningful to be working with a local Melbourne boxing business that understands the power of getting people moving and into the gym.”

This partnership is also a great example of the many different ways people can support Left Write Hook.

If you have skills, time or an idea about how you could contribute to the work we do, we’d love to hear from you through our volunteer enquiry form.

If you are a business interested in supporting Left Write Hook through equipment, goods, services, funding or other partnerships you can email us at partnerships@leftwritehook.org.

And if you’ve got your eye on the gloves... stay tuned! A limited number of our custom Left Write Hook gloves and quick wraps will also be available through our online store, more details coming soon!
